As the Earth spun, a brilliant Luna swept over Mt. McDonald on the shores of Birkenhead Lake. The brilliant eye dominated the cloud-free heavens, its hard white face becoming ever more prominent as the sky darkened through a series of deep blue shades. Nearly a half-million kilometers above the sublime cliffs of the steep mountains, reflected sunlight from the pock-marked orb cast a silvery glow on the trees and brilliant accents on the lake surface.
