Living among the smooth, rocky and wind-swept expanse at the top of Stawamus Chief, near Squamish, BC, this Least Chipmunk (Neotamias minimus) boldly approached people in a quest for handouts. The critter scurried around feet and over dropped backpacks in a hunt to fill the larder in preparation for the approaching winter. This chipmunk shared its high and remote location with several others, and also a Douglas Squirrel, Dark-eyed Juncoes and Ravens.
