Steve Is an artist who uses a somewhat unique process to create oil paintings that are somehow in a twilight zone between accident and intentionality. If you like the work of Paul Jenkins, you’re going to love this guy.

I would also say that Steve has, arguably, formal similarities to Jackson Pollock, a favorite of his.

I believe this is a distant cousin to what the Surrealists call “manifest imagery” – but different.

It’s hard to hang a label on this painter.
