The strange thing about this place was that there were no public toilets either.

I have no training in art or design – everything I do is from teaching myself. Most times it works, but sometimes it doesn’t. Every time it is fun and I’m still inspired to keep designing and making.
My first love is jewelry design but I occasionally find or create an image that I love enough to want to wear it or hang it on my wall – and that’s what you will see here on Red Bubble.
Love this shot Mel. Maybe I’d better ‘borrow’ it for my interesting photo assignment!
What’s the old saying? “They wouldn’t have made this sign if someone hadn’t done it.”
LOL Great shot.
Thanks for this. That kettle has me worried. What’s the kettle’s part in all this? Is he about to brew a pot of coffee? Is it ok to do what he’s doing, so long as he doesn’t do it in the presence of a kettle? In Hong Kong they have signs everywhere like this (sans kettle, of course) over nearly every grille and drain in the street, saying “Please do not squat over drain!” and you’re like “man! i didn’t even think about doing that until you mentioned it. And here i was using the lavatory like a sucker!”
Hehe – the kettle carries water used for washing your hands and other parts. Just because people are doing their business outside, does not mean they are not maintaining acceptable levels of hygiene…. ;-)
