The Deadly Inferno
The Deadly Inferno
After finding the body of the Huntress the search party was all consumed with grief, but lurking above them was the dark shadow of death and mayhem. The witch Qunal with her magic had transformed herself into her true form. As she swooped down upon the unexpected party she unleashed a deadly inferno of fire, but she didn’t go unnoticed, as the party went scouring for cover the spell barely missed its mark, the witch in a demonic boisterous voice proclaimed, “Your little friend thought she could out-wit me, but she and her bird were no match against my powers!” And with that she cast a spell that brought forth another inferno of fire five times more powerful than the last; at once two of the parties were pulverized. The elf warrior slashed at the witches belly a gush of blood splattered over the ground, the tiger ripped at the witches’ wings, and the bowman got off three rapid shots. But as was to no avail Qunal’s inferno was getting stronger, when a mighty thud filled the night air. The remaining members of the party didn’t see where it came from but heard the witch scream in pain. There before them was a mighty arrow, a hunter’s arrow imbedded into the black heart of the witch. Qunal tried to flap her wings but the pain was to great, as she collapsed dead her body desolved to dust. “What has happened?” the warrior screamed, but as she looked closer she noticed that the arrow was no ordinary hunter’s arrow, it had the mark of the Huntress, “How could that be?” wondered the warrior, “The Huntress is dead!” ……… (continued)
