Acrylic on Stretched Linen 500mm x 400mm.
A Commissioned painting, from a kind lady, who has held a candle for this image for the last 14years after she first saw a very similar image of mine in the Horizon Gallery, Silverton, NSW. she eventually contacted the gallery and obtained my details and organised this commission.
The client has seen this painting, I received an email, the first word was WOW!!! so I guess she likes it.
The painting depicts the ‘goings on’ after the rain which has accumulated on top of ‘The Donkey’, which is the hot water system for the shearer’s quarters,
consisting of a wood burning stove, which has an internal water jacket, which, when fired up, heats the water, which is then stored in the small corrugated iron tank on a stand above the shower block, this one in particular is from ‘Eldee Station’, north of Broken Hill, NSW.
