I'm unemployed...
I’m unemployed. I’ve never been unemployed – not for 25 years. I was working part-time from 16 and full-time from 20. In all that time I’ve never left one job without another one to go to.
In all that time I’ve never had a huge mortgage…
It feels a bit odd. I mean, it hasn’t even been 24 hours yet, but I woke up this morning with no job to go to and no idea what my next one will be….

A Snapshot in Time...
Time. The mechanism by which the universe grows and fills – for as each moment goes by there is more history in it…

Ahem… The next thing I am about to share is my epitaph. Eeeehem….:
“The Friar suspected this life was all he would get. He dete…

The atheist sermon...
I used to be a lay-preacher (like, 10 or 12 years ago now!). I’m an atheist these days but was asked recently what I would say if invited to speak. I wrote this (very short) one and kinda liked it. Thought I’d share it…
“I don’t think there’s a god. I am not even remotely a fan of Paul – bit of a knob in my opinion – however jesus is a bit of a lad.
“Love you neighbour as yourself.” W…
