This is a personal long-term project which started in 2009. The title translates to Coast.
This project is rooted in my dream of a home with the ocean as the closest neighbour. The ocean has a comforting presence and a refreshing quality which I find almost impossible to replace. Wherever the ocean is close, I feel at home.
Memories from the coast: Walking through the wind and breathing in salty air. Listening to the radio while waiting for a ferry to break out of the darkness. Arriving. Then later walking into a livingroom with the familiar sound of a ticking clock and the staring faces of ancestors at the wall. Something safe connecting.
These photographs are gathered from my explorations of the western coast of Norway. Until the ocean is my neighbour; they function as my ocean view.
