myself

My goal is to keep soul searching and finding an inner balance and acceptance of who i am.

For as long as i can remember, i have struggled with how i perceive myself physically.
Seeing myself from the outside, i will not recognize who i am.
I am a spiritual, emotional & creative individual and i do not reflect these qualities from the outside.
Being in this mind set, i have not allowed myself to grow into the person i really am.
I finally decided that to understand myself, i would need to become obsessive.
An Obsession in how i see myself.
this would result in many different images, because i dont believe there is one true face of who i am.
I would need to become obsessive in how i would approach my self portraits, and to exhaust every element and image that i am.
Re-creating images of myself, i am becoming more relaxed & comfortable with who i am physically & emotionally
I am in the early stages of this process.
While i am becoming more comfortable seeing myself, i am developing a more obsessive behavior and yearning to keep developing new images of that capture my true colours & emotions.
Some will be fierce, however, i believe that the layers and saturated colours that i use are depicting the emotional experience i feel at the time of creation.
My goal is to keep soul searching and finding an inner balance and acceptance of who i am.

thank you for your comment, i believe iwe need to accept who we are rather than others, if we believe we are worthy of beauty and perfection, we will be seen that way!
    cheers!

Yes… “inner balance and acceptance” plus no fear or judgment of self (or others). You stated it all so clearly. You are on your path. Great work.

it is sad in a way we dont do this seeking until later in our lifes so who we meet will be meeting us not a show we felt we had to put on to please our own fears of who they expect us to me we sell our selfs short in the beginning of our lifes dont we? so keep the self search going i am an i am old as dirt

I can only encourage you in your endeavours….self searching is a worthy pursuit as long as you take a look outside now and again (which I’m sure you do). Finding a balance between the macro world and the micro world is the key, but not always easy to achieve. A good share of yourself, thank you.

wow…..thank you so much for stopping by and reading my work…i am honored that you would take the time, since i have never seen myself as a writer. and what i do write comes from a non judgmental unconscious mind…which may result in somethings not making much sense!!!
    once again….thank you!!!! cm x

Hello Frenchblue, I really relate to this musing – took me back to a self-examination from when I first joined RB xoxo
