NOTE – I would welcome a b-mail if you think the square version is more suitable (vice the 5 X 7 format)
Offered in square upon request… Sister shot of the one below, which sold last year (as shown) and now hangs in an elegant home in Glendale, California.
How beautiful! Love the contrast of the sharp clean lines and the soft clear light. I like the 5×7 format as it gives it more length and depth~like the hallway goes on and on and on.
Thank you for offering your opinion Jan, I value it – I tend to agree (even though I am such a fan of the square format) – Ty for your comment!
Great light! I definitely like 5×7 more because it lets more places for the interplay between light and shadows. Square format retains the most of beautiful lines but the light/tonality lacks something compared to 5×7.
Thank you as well for your opinion, as I said to Jan, I agree in the end – Ty for visiting Lenka, I appreciate your time!
I like the version in the square frame because it is a bit contra to what one expects of photos of passageways. It retains the sense of disappearing into the distance by the square frame pulls my eye across it as well. I like that counterintuitiveness. Love the interplay of light with the window lines and the overall symmetry.
Your visits are always full of detail and information….thank you for taking the time and for being honest – I have gravitated to the square version as well – Ty again my friend!

Thank you so much Mimi…your comment is very valuable and welcome – and yes, this particular interior passage is particularly clean!

love the light angles
gosh the getty is too beautiful to be as empty as it is at times
Beauty it is……..all the lines are exquisite in this building – and yes, transition passages between galleries are often empty. Ty for visiting Kenny!

Phenomenal DOF, and capture of light & shadow in this image Julian! I find the vertical framing the most pleasing to the eye!
Ty Joanne…….yes, the “vertical” one appears to take the race in the end. Ty for your opinion, it matters!
