has gehry or the hall thank you for creating yet another form of art of it yet? you continue to find new amazing lines and curves….. and you own this marvel each time, julian… you should propose a photo exhibit… 100 degrees today… stay cool julian~ : )
you seem to find new ways of protraying the beauty of this architecture with every shot! I love the upward push of this photo – almost like praying hands.
Both you and Gehry under full sail! Absolutely magnificent perspective and your use of tone and colour is at its masterful best. And, oh dear, about to get sacrilegous here and be a bit critical – to me the carefully constructed abstractionism is somewhat undone by the clouds – I find them disnonant to rest of the image which needn’t necessarily be a bad thing – internal tension often works a treat but for me not here. Suspect I’ll get burnt at the stake from the following commenters lol.
Quite the contrary…...I like some meat to comments and yours offers something new – what if I took the clouds off? what would happen? – let me explore, it is worthwhile. Above all, thank you for being honest – I wouldn’t have it any other way. Many of us work alone, and having this kind of resonance is important – ty Geoff!
simply elegant ~ full of flow and feeling ~ just wonderful in the curve and peaks, light and color ~ it took your eye to compose and did so very well xx
ops .. what I I meant ws that the first thing I’ve thought when I saw this shot was “an under water shot!” (of course .. I know it isn’t!!!) – the background – sky and buildings – gives me exactly that feeling .. and, btw – it is a very fascinating feeling!
You must walk around with your chin up all the time Julian….you floor me time and time again with your amazing eye/composition/vision/art! I love the flow and zen like feeling of this image. I love how you ‘see’ the world around you, and I love that you share it :)
Ty so much…..Frank Gehry’s Disney Concert Hall here in LA…(Convergence however is part of the Getty Center by Richard Meier) – just lines in the sky given to us by some good design and wonderful insight.
