Just trying something with patterns…...If I don’t throw it out there, who knows – I’d rather be stoned to death than never know – Thnx for coming by Mims!
this is a beautiful abstract art even though she is not a very pretty bird… what you process through your lens always become art… and how do you know it’s she ?? :P
Oh what a brilliant crop -lovely study in rule of thirds horizontal and vertical. And it is a beautifully compelling character shot as well. Beautiful.
I love cropped shots like this – such a wonderfully intimate photo of this bird and I love the way you can even see the reflection in its/his/her eye . Agree with Geoff – rule of thirds very well illustrated here.
Wow, excellent closeup and crop! I just love how you managed to capture so many patterns and colors on this splendid bird! Looks amazing framed in black and so totally abstract!
I should be so clever… I snapped this at the Royal Armouries here in Leeds. I love that moustache! It’s an original, but they do have a workshop there too.

I’m seeing your urban abstract talents at play here with the tight framing, Julian. Really enhances the closeness of her bill to her body!
Julian Escardo replied
Thank you Peter…..great comment!
