Thanks Paul…...trying something new – I am still coming to terms with it. If I blow it away I still appreciate all and any visits and comments very much.
i love everything about this, julian… love the color… duo tone? funny, since last night, i been thinking of doing an abstract in this color and call it “the quiet dreams”... and i’ve been playing with coffee in my notebook this morning and it’s drying in this color right now… i also like the film strip squares along the sides too… they really add without being loud… but what are the choices?
Ha! I think she is thinking “why Im I going down here first with my crook hip?? He’s the strong one, he should go first to catch me if I fall” LOL. Actually, in the thumbnail it looks like a giant zipper. I enjoyed this shot Julian …. amused me, which may not have been your intention of course! M
Brilliant conceptual piece this Julian – the title is inspired as are the “film sprockets” on either side – enhances the sense of voyeurism on other people’s choices and the way the viewer chooses to see them unobserved like through a chink in an ajar door. All that in such a minimalist marvel. Damn but you’re good man.
a “julianescardo’s_aday – takes the doctor away” ;) the thin aperture seems “enlarging” to let us see the people …. another optical illusion! (or may be … It’s me! ) love the title & love it. :))
I’ll take your comment between ” ” and nurse it for a while…......I am moved and flattered, even if your objective views are even slightly tainted by friendship – on that note, thank you my friend!
Just love the vertical lines on this! I have a touch of vertigo just viewing… Great how the woman is looking down in contemplation of the descent…actually she is pretty brave as I would definitely have to hold on to the railing! And it somehow also conveys what seems like a glimpse into another world, like at any time the two walls will close and seel the people inside…
Joanne…....what a pleasure again to read your comments. Yes, another world is a great way to read this shot – venturing in a new world, the world of the second age, or the unfamiliar. And walls help focus on that part as well as signify the oppression of time passing. Ty, ty again!

I look forward to your post my dear friend…....glad you like the texture. Choices: as for the choices people make in life and where they come from.
