Storm approaching, The Bay of Naples, Italy by

I have just re-discovered my tenth plein air painting at the bottom of my folder, I wondered where it had gone, so here it is at last!!!!
I painted it from the dining room balcony of our hotel in Sorento, Italy, overlooking the Bay of Naples.

It is painted on Arches 300 gsm watercolour block with Windsor and Newton transparent watercolour paints.

Thank you all for the faves, watches and kind comments, I really appreciate these

and Wow what a collection of super fine work. I do remember how fast it seemed that the storms moved it, but also how quickly they seemed to move on. Very nice work Freda.

  • Thanks very much Jim, yes, it was like that, as you say, it came in and rained all night and was gone by the morning.
