I love the lines. Stripes are very tricky and you do it perfectly! I appreciate the work and time this took to complete. You are so talented.

this is amasing, i constantly revisit it… next week i have a big art exam coming up, i have to do a still life composition titled, it was an old espresso machine.. i’m going to use reflective teacups, a spoon and some spilled over coffee beans for my compoistion. i usually paint in acryilic, any tips for me?
i’m hoping i’ll get it done in only 2.5 hours!

Thank you for your kind remark.
Eeek only 2.5 hours, my paintings can take up to four weeks to finish.
the only tip I can give is to look really hard, you are aided in this looking by doing a detailed line and tone drawing first, to the size of your finished painting, the looking and drawing will tell you all you need to know about your subject and the painting is then easier to do.
I then draw up the piece completely by tracing the finished drawing and trace it down using graphite paper which I make myself by rubbing a very soft pencil over and over a piece of tracing paper.
Good luck with your painting, do please post it on Redbubble so as I can see the finished result.

surely this is a photo! what a talented lady you are – I am in awe of your art – do you work around your paintings finishing one area first before moving onto the other? I wonder how long this one took? this is amazing!

  • Thank you Linda.
Yes, that is precisely how I work.
this one took about 60 hours
