Pumpkin by

This is painted in acrylic on stretched canvas.
I enjoy painting cut fruit and vegetables, it is something seen for a moment, caught in paint and gone. A brief fleeting moment, caught in time.

So real. Brave of you to tackle such a challenge as this. I don’t think we have this type of melon in the U.S. What is it called?

  • Hello Phillip, it’s also called a squash and I’m sure you must have pumpkins in the USA, how would you celebrate Halloween?
You would also be making pumpkin pie out of it, so it’s not a melon.
    cheers
