Granny smith

This painting is watercolour on paper.

The Royal Art Society’s next exhibition is a challenge. To do a painting incorporating food and/or drink with the landscape.

I chose to use the Sydney Harbour Bridge as a background, looking out of a window. And I painted my favourite subjects, apples and silver on a check tablecloth.

Wonderfull. so many parts of this are great! The reflection on the bowl is excellent and the red apples look like you could just take a bite out of them.

Love the mixture, the objects are so varied, apples, checkered pattern, bridge…but somehow they are all pulled together in an intriguing way!
