This painting is watercolour on paper and is the eighth in the Venice series.
This is the first one with people in it. I was really taken with this group resting in the sun by the Grand Canal.

A lot of detail, but beautifully done Freda. I like the tones, the colours. Although there are many people in it, it shows peace and quiet all over.

Oh Freda, I am always so impressed by your work and this one certainly holds no exception. I spent about a week on Lido and would regularly cross over to Venice. This would be just how I would remember it and its been more years than I care to mention that I was there. Beautiful work.
