“Life is not about arriving in Heaven in a pretty and well-preserved body, but about skidding in broadside, totally used up, thoroughly worn out and loudly proclaiming, ’WOW! What a ride!”
I believe it was Hunter S. Thompson who originally wrote that in a different way. Gotta love him! I first fell for his writing when I picked up a copy of Rolling Stone and read the short story ‘Fear and Loathing in Elko’. Judge Clarence Thomas, wow, if that story was true….
Anyway, I modified the quote a little and slopped up a pic of my ’68 Cougar. The body is rusty and worn, so I figured the quote was good for her. Tried to get the image to be “less-than-perfect” through a blend of many different distortions.
