My fingers frozen in place, at this keypad,
my minds at a loss, for words to speak.
Hopes are dashed by time that’s remaining,
for those dreams that are left in life’s wake.
In my hands lay the crushed broken pieces,
of the remnants, of living my own way.
Thinking nothing I see can be salvaged,
from a life that’s bent on going astray.
From a voice so kind and endearing,
He invites me to place what remains.
In His hands for his time of restoring,
for the years I have left, He has claimed!

“And I will restore to you the years that
the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm,
and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm,
my great army which I sent among you.”
Joel 2:25
