I tried to whisper in prayer,
as my tongue was restrained.
In my efforts to speak,
I heard Him call out my name.
My child there’s a cancer,
that binds you deeply inside.
And you can never conceal it,
from my all seeing eyes.
You harbor an offence,
against one in your life.
And you nurture it’s root,
with it’s anger and strife.
The bitter roots of resentment,
keeps your speech from my ears.
And holds your spirit in chains,
so your prayers I can’t hear.
You have need to confess,
what you hold tightly in hand.
So my power can release you,
to serve Me as I’ve planned!
“If we confess our sin He is faithful and just
to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from
all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9

So sweetly done :)
Thank you Klaus for taking the time to read my poem, I very much appreciate your kind comment. The content of the piece is something I am all to familiar with in life and it’s an area I continue to work through at times…………….Barbara

That is beautiful written Barbara, what a talent you have!
Thank you so much Ellen, the Lord has been gracious to me. There was a time when I had failed Him so miserably I thought I might never be useful to Him anymore. But I have learned that our God is God of restoration and will restore the years that the locust has eaten .I am content these days to write as I’m inspired and share them with those who might come across my work. I am on facebook also and post them there too. Thank you for your encouragment………………….Barbara
