New Lightweight Hoodies. Great for laziness, business, or any other -ness.
This is an acrylic painting done on canvas board. My desire was to hopefully recapture a wonderful childhood experience. Growing up in the 1950’s this was a familar experience for many children. Original is available……….

Good one for sure..i remember those ice cream trucks when i was little!
Hi Sara, thank you for commenting on my painting. The 1950’s were an interesting time in American culture. Much has changed for all of us, some good, some not so good. I’m glad you enjoyed my art, thank you again…………………Barbara

Hi Barbara, I just joined RedBubble today, what a nice welcome you gave me with your lovely comment on my Pond Hockey painting. I love your Icecream Truck, so fanciful, and full of joy, brings back happy memories of growing up in the fifties and sixties, long summers and delicious icecream treats. Thanks again, Carole
Nice to meet you Carol, as a painter myself I always appreciate the the natural talent of others. I thought your painting was wonderful and honest in it’s expression. We see lots of photographs here and much of it is just stunning but before I ever had a computer or a digital camera the only tools I had available was a paint brush or a box of colored pencils and stack of white clean paper. When you have creative expression in you, you will look for any way possible to allow it’s expression. Welcome to Redbubble Carol, you will find many friends and like minded people here………………Barbara :0)♥
Love the folk art approach, and this painting in particular – memories! After helping Mom in the garden, or sweating it out on the baseball field, the Ice Cream Truck, announced by bells jingling and children screeching, made it’s way into our lives and culture. Five cent popsicles – yumm!
A wonderful painting, evoking so many happy memories for me. I can really identify with this scene and the ‘feeling’ it conveys. Great work.
Thank you Joanne for returning and making comment. I’m very happy you like my paintings. I have always loved whimsey and bright colors. Folkart is such a wonderful medium and we don’t see many here on RB but when we do it’s so enjoyable!!! Barbara♥
Can hear the bell ringing…great flash back!!
Well now, you have covered most aspects of my creative endeavors, painting, writing and photography(:0) All the things the Lord has placed in my life to give beauty for ashes. Our God is so good!
