Barbara is a self taught artist currently living in Lawrenceville, Georgia. She was born in Washington D.C. to a military family at the close of World War II. Barbara from an early age showed a passionate interest in art. She began painting and writing poetry in the late 1980’s. Now that life for Barbara is free from the responsibilities of parenting and the necessary demands of having a growing family, she finds herself free to pursue her true passions, painting, writing and sewing. Barbara has discovered through art, that life with all of it’s complexities can find a sweet fragrance of release through the creative process. Barbara has shared many of her written poetic works here and hopes the viewers will take the time to enjoy a few of them. She has also had her art and poetry featured in volumes #3 and #5 of,”Anthology Of Friends”, a compilation of artistic works from members of the Ovation TV website. The books may be purchased through http://www.blurb.com/bookstore. All written, photographic and artistic works are copyrighted and may not be used or copied with out the authors permission.
More art, poetry and writings can be viewed on her blog, please have a look: http://poemsandartbybcarlan.blogspot.com
