The last strokes of the digital brush.
There, finished. Beautiful.
...Why aren’t I …
outside?
soaking in the diffused sunlight,
picking off the little buglets that
crawl on my legs, looking for a bite to eat.
Why is my name under the glorious green tree,
and not me?

Aww this is fabulous sweetheART super capture&lovely wistful words ;} happy hippy hugglez
F.A. Moore replied
Thank you, Val. They came to me as I put on the last flourish to this same-named digital painting….day dreams of one too geeky for their own good.
A. JILL GAEBEL
I love the last line! Why indeed? Nicely expressed, Fran.
F.A. Moore replied
Yeah, why?.... I know the answer, but it’s totally unsatisfying; because I’m too much geek and not enough play these days. Because, because, because…. :))
Leon Walker
Excellent!!!
F.A. Moore replied
Why, thank you, Leon. Nice to see your smiling face.
Isa Rodriguez
Outstanding !
F.A. Moore replied
Thank you, Isa. :)
Wendy Slee
I love the meaning here…. your words bring it home so succinctly….
Next time paint yourself under that tree, not just your name….. or better still, go sit under that tree while you paint. (smiles)
as for me…...gosh why am I here looking at/posting photographs of “out there” instead of being “out there”........
F.A. Moore replied
Uh huh… you know exactly what I mean. Thanks so much for finding my little hidden musings, here, Wendy.
Matt Penfold
That’s a very good question …
F.A. Moore
:) Thanks for pausing under my tree with me.

Wonderful poem Frannie, gorgeous landscape, and how peaceful it is to just sit, and dream under a tree :O)~ Carolyn
F.A. Moore replied
Glad you discovered this. And ahhhh, yes it is. Not doing enough of it these days. Thank you.
ccwri
Me to its just so beautiful :O)~ I had to fave it. I have been unemployed for sometime, and live in the mountains, and have been spending way to much time in the forest! LOL! A balance is good…smiles
F.A. Moore replied
Yes, a balance is good. Lucky you though—Rejuvenation!
Me, well, I’m a bit lopsided these days. Need to quit putting my name under trees and go sit there! And I haven’t answered Matt’s question! lol.
ccwri
LOL! I hope you find time to answer it soon :) :) :)
F.A. Moore replied
Caroline, I didn’t recognize you as a dog! I’ve been seeing the dog around and didn’t put 2 and 2 together, until I came back to this post today. :))
Trenchtownrock
I love how you ended this piece of art..well done.
F.A. Moore replied
You’re so sweet, as that is the punchline. Funny thing, yes, the actual digital painting ended in this written piece. It was not complete without it. Even your words have double entendre. Thank you!
Colin Cartwright
“Why is my name under the glorious green tree,
and not me?” – Because you’re stuck in stuffy room, in front of a computer creating the image!
(By the way, you neet a ‘t’ in the word ‘outside’).
A beautful digital painting, Frannie!
The words superbly complement the image.
F.A. Moore replied
Thank you Colin!
F.A. Moore replied
Oh, dear Colin, I still missed the ‘t’ until just now. It’s that stuffy room. I’m opening the window and letting the trees in at once!!
:D
Colin Cartwright
I’m the only one who reads and takes notice, Frannie!
Now, I’ll be checking that window is open!
It’s a pity that painting is such an unhealthy (physical) activity – either at an easel or a screen.
F.A. Moore replied
How’s your weather, Colin? Ours has started to dry out for Fall. We got past the worst of hurricane season without a run-in this year. (September seems to be our worst month; but nothing!) So, thinking of the window, yes, it’s open!!
bloorain
ha ha I love this! You have more written work
F.A. Moore replied
I don’t make the time to write much lately. But I do often pen something just to go with my artwork—usually in the description sidebar of the art. That’s how this piece came about. It was the finishing flourish to my artwork.
It just seemed deserving of a spot, here, too. Glad you agree! Thank you!
bloorain
I forget to mention that I also love the landscape itself. and congrats on the feature.

A hot spring, followed by a cold summer, and now a mixed autumn. Being the last stop in the Gulf stream, Britain has the most unpredictable weather!
