Belinda, I search the stock at Deviant Art almost daily. All providers there have strict rules to follow; but if you follow them closely and send a specific request for use outside of DA, if it’s required, they usually won’t deny it, especially if it’s for RB. Look in the categories under stock > models > female. Then do a Search, with their search feature, for keywords like “sleeping”, “reclining”, etc. Hope that helps. :D

What you’re seeing is the whole of what I did. Thank you.

It did not end up being a collaboration, even though it was intended.

Isa saw an inch (2.5 cm) in the middle of this, all the way across. And then was to create the bottom half, without seeing the top half. But she did not like what she created. So….the collab on this was nixed. Artist prerogative.

I’m working the other way currently, on a third piece. Isa created an entire work. And I’m now working on a lower half, based on the last inch (2.5 cm) of the upper half of her work. All I can see is that middle inch, which appears purely abstract to me. Our styles are so different; so we shall see how they look together. Can’t wait!! But I have to finish first. It’s fun!!

Since it’s been a little while, I’ll say this. I actually painted her as being under water. Dead. Her city just right there above, yet not knowing what became of her. I wanted …and don’t know the correct term… a “flattened” effect; so the water is expressed in that way, instead of realistically covering her. I think most see it as the sky and that she’s sleeping under it. But that’s the wonder of art. It speaks different languages, memories, and emotions. This was a little different for me, and fun.

The model was play-acting “Ophelia”, in fact. That’s why I chose the stock. If you click on my stock links for “Odessa”, you will find “Ophelia” in her gallery. :) You’re good!!

As it turned out, this was a result of Isa Rodriguez and I attempting a collaboration for the Exquisite Corpse game. It was my part of it, the first part.

But Isa’s part wasn’t working for her, so she ditched it; and I respect that. Heck, in the game, whomever goes 2nd only gets to see one measly little inch of the work. So it’s tough. We did get one work out of 4 attempts, that we were both happy with; and with that, we called it a wrap. (But this wasn’t it.)
