Hey Frank…Greg looks a bit tormented here. Perhaps he had been out drinking with the Aussies or something. I know whenever I’ve had the chance to do so, Greg has had nothing on me (ah, but I digress)! Interesting work. It’s almost like he has a dark side and light side, like good and evil – and is caught in between.
I do these for friends, quick 3 min. at the most. I Like painting them but I don’t care for the results. My subjects love them. I secretly think I could do better. Part of the problem is they are on tiny canvasses. The reason I do them fast is because I have a tremor or shakey hands. It’s very slight but enough that it can get in the way of details. As far as the dark and the light, I work and know a lot of people in the art business. Thank God I own the company, my staff tells me I smile too much and my optimism makes them sick. I think they are joking, I hope.
