I didn’t want to just jump in to your folio and start commenting (good or bad). I wanted to break the ice first, so to speak. If you’d like, I will look through your folio and see what I find out.

Hey Fran…it’s been sort of slow lately anyway. I haven’t been on much lately, get on for a few and I’m gone! There are some people who just don’t reply to comments or maybe they just make one general reply to all. And there’s the new changes that may have some people a bit frustrated…who knows!! :)

Hello Fran, Here is my opinion, which really doesn’t mean anything…lol, but this site is for selling and buying. Yes it has grown so fast and we now have “groups”...but when I first got to the site, Nov 07, it was not about commenting on each others images…You were welcome to leave comments or even suggestions but it was not so expected. Maybe this is what you are experiencing. I don’t get many comments anymore either, and I am host of 5 groups and leave quit a few comments on images.
And another thing is exactly what Donna said, This is a very slow time for the site, I’ve experienced,because Spring is springing here in the US and people want to get out and play, and in Aussie, it is starting or already is cold and becoming winter. After the Aussies get totally inside for the winter, things will pick up a bit more, but during the season changes, it gets slow.
I have certain people that always leave me kind words, but others don’t. I can have 50-60 views with only about 5-10 comments. There are people that just go thru and view images for purchasing or to just thumb thru pictures. lol
You just have to keep getting your name and images out there for people to see, perhaps enter your images in more groups. Visit different forums on RedBubble, not only group forums, and get your name out there. The more they see a name the more that will visit your profile. That is another thing…make sure your profile looks inviting, professional, etc. Something that will attract people to visit it.

Okay, I’ve babbled on enough about this, but I hope I’ve given you some ideas and a bit of understanding. Good luck!!!

Ahhhhhhhhhhh the validation hunt
well Cherri Perri here was my Bi-polar mind think ing it was a crime
many bubblers feel this way
Primlarily SALES may have been the initial focus
I wonder if the persons behind the bubble
( I’m stuck in the bubble)
releize what they have created
This is a place to express your soul
create create create until you are whole

SO to combat all that I feel regards the lack of commetns on my beautiful works
which I do not feel are worthy of sale
yet
i have come up with my own adgenda
and am trying to once a day find someone new that I can go and view there whole gallery
that is you today
so I make a cuppa and sit and leave exhorbant number of comments
I shall check and reply to comments made and click on the artist to return the kind
a favour or two will bring

quite often I also do not receive replies yes the bad manners do hurt your feelings
but there is no intent
i LIKE THAT Cheri pointed out the trends that she noticed using weather as an example that
is genuis
her comment should be posted
on the front page of bubble
as it helped you it has helped me

I am on RB since Nov 08. In the beginning I commented everything I saw and replied to any comment I got. But meanwhile I’m more selective.
There are friends who comment on ALL my entries. I reply if I have something to say. Otherwise, I send them a Bmail to thank them.
That makes not much sense if somebody says “it is nice” and you say “thank you” as a reply. I just thank if it is a new contact and I try to add something more personal. But really, I don’t always have the time to do it.
When I get a feature, I thank the hosts of the group, or I put it in a comment on the picture that I appreciate.
But what I don’t like is people writing all the times journals about their features. I never do and I try to ignore that kind of writing.
In general, I like the friendly atmosphere on the site.
