Because my images begin as photographs, some people think of me as a photographer. And I am. However, some of my work is better classified as digital art or photopainting. I begin with digital images from my camera and then, with the computer, I stroke, manipulate and enhance what the camera captured.
I became an artist the day I was introduced to finger painting in kindergarten and went on to major in art education. In the years after college, I developed my painting and photographic styles as I raised children and worked to support them. Now I am a successful stock photographer and have awards for my photopaintings and photographs. My work has been exhibited nationally, and is included in private and corporate collections.
I love to do what I do.
