Profile
As a young girl I fell in love with crayons and the piano keyboard. After studying classical piano and theory for 12 years at the Philadelphia Coservatory of Music in Philadelphia Pa. in the USA and also being a member of the Children’s Repetory Theatre in that city, I went to temple Univeraity where I majored in Communications and Theatre. Receiving a Bachelor of Science in 1972 I furthered my education with studies in commercial photography while I worked in professional broadcast news with GroupW Broadcasting. With the advent of desktop computing’s Power Macs I finally traded in the piano keyboard and the typewriter keyboard for the keyboard I now use to create CGI imagery. I began working with CGI in 1994, using only Adobe Photoshop and KPT Bryce when version 1 was just out of Beta and shipped on three floppy disks in a plain grey box. I am a long-term devotee of BRYCE! I also discovered fractals then with the FractalExplorer of Kai’s Power Tools v.3. In 1999 I suffered a major stroke(I recovered quite well, thank you for your concern). Upon returning home from the hospital, I decided to enter into a research project at the computer in an attempt to organize my recovering brain. This is the point where I began to create original fractals and apply them as material presets to 3D mesh. Often, I also design the meshes and objects “sculpting” in a terrain/object editor with my original fractals…”Fractal3DArt” I call the resulting imagery. What better mathematics than “God’s thumbprint.” as some mathematicians call fractal equations , to give 3D art that “natural look” I was seeking to create. Since 1999, I have used original fractals as he foundation, material presets, etc., for all my CGI artwork. Judge for yourself wheather this is effective and pleasing to you…I hope you enjoy my artworks! Thank you!
