Ever longing for the Emerald City…..
( I’ve posted two versions of this card. My original, and this one, which is the version that ended up going into production as a mainstream greeting card. They are very different pieces of art, even though the main subject – the girl – is the same.
As a professional artist, there will be times when people like the idea of your art, but want it altogether different. Your idea or intent might have been very meloncholy, and their idea is to make it joyous and bright. It is an interesting journey of learning lessons, to be sure. )

These are now available at Walmart, Fred Meyer, and more. Aimee is currently working on her first children’s book featuring whimsical animals, slated for release in 2012.
