Another shot from our trip to Whitby – done in tilt-shift style. What a wonderful village. I’d love to visit it in the off season sometime….

I love this effect, I didn’t know it was called tilt-shift….but now I know, so thanks for that also.
    Great shot.

  • Thank you! If you Google ‘tilt-shift’ – you will find so many interesting photographs out there taken in this style. There are specific lenses you can buy that will do this style, but I have to rely on photoshop to mimic it. Nonetheless, I think it is a really fun effect! I’m so glad you think so too!

Quite an amazing image Aimee……….your quirky treatment of this makes it look like toytown.

  • Thank you Wayne! That ‘scale model’ look is so fun to achieve. I have quite a few I plan to upload. It really does a great job of tricking the eye! I should post a tutorial on how to achieve the look in Photoshop, since buying the actual lenses costs more than most people can afford.

    Thanks again! :)

This is great. Like the tilt n shift treatment. Gives it an old most old fashioned to village feel to it.

Did you meet dracula on your travels to Whitby?

  • Thank you! I’m fascinated by the whole tilt shift look. I have quite a few more to upload sometime.

Heheh, no close encounters with Dracula… but I can certainly see why he was drawn to the place!
