Wow Aimee, excellent, gap indeed! Got me thinking maybe I should try a little steam punk something, looks like great fun!
Foxfires replied
Thank you Syd!! You should!! Steampunk is such a fun genre. And it really does just let your imagination run wild.
I’ve written a few articles about it, and the great thing about Steampunk is that everything is pieced together under the presumption of functionality. You see clockworks and gears galore…no idea what they do, but in that world, they do something! LOL
The main rally cry for Steampunk is “What if the future, happened in the past?” with the Victorian era, so romantic in all it’s ornateness, the focus of it all. The era of steamtrains, steamships, grand journeys…. what if modern advancements that we have now, had been applied to their ‘technology’ back then?
I just love it. :D

I’m looking forward to seeing more of your work. Regrettably I’ve not been active in the group myself for some time, due to work commitments, so I really appreciate the contributions from others.
