What an amazing idea, I’m already imagining what comes next, if the slope evens out, the horse could keep his (her) feet and find themselves in a strange adventure, and in a very Pinocchio type situation! Are you writing to this?

magical ~ this reminds me of one of my favorite stories from childhood – The Adventures of Arab by Louis Solobodkin ~ a carousel horse that breaks free ~ only your art is far better illustrated to my fantasy ~ brilliant again xx thank you too for “keeping an eye on my work” ~ I’ve recently been removed from my own creativity ~ seeing art like this just feeds my soul so much x

Aimee, I am always in awe of how you can take a concept and put it to us in such a beautifully engageing way.
OK, you’ve got the isolated cliff… the turning carousel… two illustrations of how so many of us end up leading our lives.
But the carousel is vivid with color, and the horse is breaking free… so there is hope for the passion that still burns in our hearts, as long as we are willing to make the leap and prepared to accept our fate.
It’s so fortunate that you are an amazing artist and so are able to draw our attention to such concepts to which we might otherwise not give a second thought. That is so the power of art if it is done with intent and passion. You are one of these rare artists that understands how to reach our souls and make us see things that thousands of words could never do.
Aside from all that, this is just a fckin amazingly beautiful picture that is SO gonna brighten up my favs!!!
