Don't Forget Me
This little bear was sitting on the old stone wall surrounding Whitby Abbey, in Whitby, England. He had been there for some time… looking as if he’s weathered a few rainstorms. We spotted him as we were getting ready to leave and take the train back to York, and of course, I fell in love immediately! I took him down, brushed him off, and told my husband I wanted to take him with us! And then, very kindly – my hubby wondered outloud what would happen if perhaps the child who had left him behind came back to find him, and couldn’t? How sad that would be.
Of course, I couldn’t possibly take him then. He was waiting for someone else to return… not me. :) So I carefully put him back where I had found him, and snapped this picture to take as a memory instead. I do so hope his owner came back for him.

Thank you Arie! I like to think there was a grand reunion at some point, between bear, and wee owner!

Good call. But what probably happened is a cat dragged him off and tore the little guy to shreds. But you did the right thing. You immortalized him by taking his very last picture before his death.
I am SO sorry if I`ve now made it impossible for you to sleep, but I think he probably forgives you as your heart was in the right place. Even though his no longer is.
xo

Falls right out of the chair
ROFLLLLLL
Oh…. my. Come to think of it, I should look online for reports of a new Whitby Abbey ghost… four inches tall, sporting a macabre plaid bow ‘round his neck?

... don`t know if he`s actually got a neck any more… but nice thought.
