Mandarin Duck (Aix galericulata)

Thank you for your appreciation of my picture, Hilary.

This little duck used to be in abundance, but now this little fellow is coming under the endangered specie list.

I sometimes feel, that there will be a day, wehn we can the mandarin duck and many other specie, on photos like these. This makes me so sad. that humans the alleged superior specie, can be so blind , heartless and destructive. When will we wake up from the sleep of ignorance.

Thank you for your comment – but yes this is real. In my opinion it is one of the beautiful ducks in the world. Sad they already belong to the endangered specie. In china they are being hunted to extinction. In the UK of which there are apprx. 1000 are not protected because they are not indigenous. Crazy world, mad bureaucrats

I can see where you are coming from – No the water has not been desaturated to black and white, as otherwise the ducks feet, which are underwater would not be in colour

Living in Harmony is becoming a utopia , as there is always an event that destroys that dream, mainly caused by the human specie. We just do not care deep enough.
