  • Hi Don – thankyou – those crested waves mark a sand bar that, together with inclement weather, claimed a few ships. We were very lucky that light conditions were so good when we took a boat cruise on the harbour.

  • thankyou very much ER – this is quite a hazardous harbour entry, quite a few ships came to grief over time – there’s a second lighthouse on the opposite headland (ie more or less behind me when I took this shot – not sure if I have a shot with both lighthouses …
