Taken during Christmas Eve in the cold airs from the headlands. I had snapped this an hour prior but the white strobe atop the Pyramid wasn’t on. After some time snapping some other scenes, I saw the blinking white strobe light topping the pyramid was (finally) on, so decided during this clear crisp night to retake the snap as gray skies and rain was forecast to return to the Bay Area soon. Makes a difference huh? No filters used in this 30-second exposure and manually-focused with these old eyes. Remember that it’s not the gifts that build holiday fires, but the warmth within you that you share with others, that warms the soul within, and of those you meet and touch.

This is really nice! It will be something I would attempt to recreate at some point in the future. The more you think about it and the more you see, there are so many unusual ways you can use the Golden Gate Bridge and it’s surrounds to wonderful effect

  • thanks for your visits Thomas and AH64D. yes, the bridge is fabulous! was there today and snapped a storm of hummingbirds!!
