While at a high spot in San Francisco I was hoping to see the flight of a Cooper’s Hawk or even a Red-Tailed Hawk, I instead saw these flying vintage beauties. Flying in a staggered formation, they were over water and heading south. They had already circled twice and I missed snapping them, but was able to get some pixs as they returned several minutes later. They flew over a flag that is high-displayed 24/7 and I couldn’t miss that moment which is what you see here. I love seeing these vintage aircraft at air shows and when I’m able to see them in flight, it’s a sight to behold!
To all my active-duty, veterans and fellow retired military, I salute you all, and thank you for the many sacrifices that you and your families have made for me, and for so many others in so many countries throughout the world.
If anyone can identify these aircraft, I’ll be very grateful. I do know there’s a bomber and at least one Mustang, but I wasn’t Air Force….
