Split Which Way? by

this looks deceivingly complex, confusing and dangerous (it is!) but it’s actually quite simple: four aircraft of the Royal Canadian Air Force Snowbirds Jet Team splits, as each aircraft executes their practiced maneuver. two aircraft on the left showing white and red start to bank left, while two aircraft on the right showing red and white start to bank right. because of my position and theirs, the perspective makes for a very confusing image of aircraft in strange aspects during Fleet Week 2011 in San Francisco!

Back in the ‘old days’ the ‘birds would buzz downtown Moose Jaw during their practice runs…I don’t think they are allowed to that anymore :o Great catch!
