Number 1818 - Milan Streetcar in San Francisco by

this green streetcar car came from Milan, Italy and though built in the USA as early as the 1930s, was exported from the states to many countries including Italy. The San Francisco Municipal Railway now includes many streetcars imported from many countries including Australia, Italy, Portugal, England, Japan, and Switzerland. Other streetcars come from other parts of the USA and all are identified outside and within the streetcar as to their origins. The history of these streetcars are wonderful and along with being a historic and a welcome bit of international flavor to the San Francisco streets.
