The Australian Three Peaks Race is a four day short-handed sailing and endurance mountain running race held every Easter in Tasmania, Australia.
This shot was taken from Sheoak Point in the Tamar as some of the 2012 fleet head out of the river into Bass Strait.
The helicopter you can see in the background had landed a cameraman on a reef in the river mouth and the misty fog conditions in Bass Strait led up to some very heavy weather in the coming days.
