Guess who? Robot games. There is a darker side to this picture. We read recently how automation is extending more and more into a retail market that employs over 14 million Americans. There appears to be an all out assault on the education system here, making it harder and increasingly expensive for kids to go to college. What do they do? Where will they work? Our robot could as well be saying “Surprise! Guess what? You’ve got no future.”

Our new Dreams calendar gathers together some of our most popular fantasy images.

What you wrote over there is sadly only the beginning of what I have come to realize is the end of life as we have known it. I have a son age 23 who is not working. It’s a long story but he tells me most of his friends and those who are married with a kid or 2 live with their parents. Those who do work work in crappy service jobs and where I live many businesses are closed. With this in mind your art work takes a whole different feel as you said. Which makes it a fave for me!

  • It’s a problem that greatly concerns us. I grew up in Minneapolis, but now live in California in the central part of the state where we have one of the highest unemployment rates in the nation. It’s scary. Best of luck to your son in finding a job. Thanks so much for the comment and fave.
