West Sunset Hwy - Bridge

This wonderful old bridge use to be what greeted travelers when coming down the sunset hill after a long weary days drive to Spokane from other parts of the state.
Now the busy interstate by-passes it.
Primary State Highway 2, the Sunset Highway, was a highway in the state of Washington, U.S.A., from 1937 to 1964. The Sunset Highway was the primary east-west route through Washington, with the main (trunk) route of the highway extending from Seattle in the west through Spokane, continuing eastward.

O no it is still used just the I-90 is the main road into town…it still is HWY 2!
