Michael, I’m delighted to see a quokka here! I have a favourite book about the many big-footed marsupial varieties, whose existence an Australian former lodger had made known to me.. kangaroos, wallabies, wallaroos, potoroos, bettongs, pademelons.. and quokkas. Such loveable quirky creatures. I’d even made up a tongue-in-cheek song just last week: “I hope I get to be a Wallaby in Heaven”.. so naturally I’m delighted. Great shot!
Glad you like it Graham! Elsewhere in my portfolio there’s a shot of him with his partner (you can’t see it in this shot, but she’s carrying a joey)

Is that something in her pouch too? Great shot
That would be her joey, yes. I have another shot with the joey feeding, but it’s not such a good shot overall (man made materials in the background…).
thanks for commenting
