This past September was my first trip to Yellowstone National Park. I spent the week with fellow redbubble members Scott Denny and his father Tim. As usual I had an absolutely great time and was blown away at the beauty of the park. Along with the parks natural beauty comes a variety of wildlife that call the park home. We were able to see and photograph many of North Americas great animals including Buffalo, Pronghorn Antelope, Elk, Mountain Goats and the list goes on.
On the way back home we took a few side trips. One of the trips was to 1880 Town in South Dakota. It is a collection of old west buildings and artifacts set up into a 1800’s town. There are many photo opportunities both inside and outside the structures. They also have a real Saloon there where they still have shows and music at certain times of the year. I had a blast trying some new things such as still life and architectural photography. These styles are new to me but every bit as fun as the wildlife stuff.
This is part of an old homestead they have on the grounds.
