This juvenille Red-tailed Hawk was a playful guy this past winter at the sanctuary. Just about everytime I was there he could be found scaring the ducks or chasing other birds all over the place. On several occations I would be out next to the water trying to get some shots of the ducks and he would just fly over them really low to scare them into the water. On other days he could be found on a low branch over the brush pile by the sparrows forcing them to hunker down inside the pile of brush where it was safe. I haven’t seen much of him since then but I suppose he is all grown up by now.
