After drawing representational subject matter privately for many years, my work has become much more personal and increasingly colourful and abstract in nature. This has happened unconsciously and is suddenly more natural to me than anything else.
My method is playful and inquisitive and I aim to create beauty in most of my work. I love to experiment with colours and many endless levels of texture. Simplicity and balance of colour and design catches the eye – then the many levels of texture bring on inquisitive second looks and lingering interest. What at first appears so simple, shows itself with further study to be deep, more complex and intriguing”.
