Artist's Description

After several years and many hours trying to find and photograph Timber Wolves in the wild, the opportunity arrived in February of 2010. . It was truly an experience of a lifetime and something I will always remember.

This photo was taken north of Kenora, Ontario, Canada .

The Grey Wolf (Canis lupus) also known as the Timber Wolf is generally a grizzled grey color but also varies from white to black extremes. The ears are erect and the tail is bushy and black tipped. The male is larger than the female and average weight is 55-130 lbs.
