I have admired a particular small pond for some time now. It was somewhat difficult to access but I finally walked in to it yesterday and to my delight found some beautiful reflections. This image was one of them.

I really like the angle from which you took this shot. This is one of my favourite spots in Jaffrey Mellick. Thanks for sharing it.

Good morning Ray. Let me say how much I have enjoyed wandering through your captured images. I hope you got the same enjoyment out of visiting the beaver pond in my back forty. The username, ‘The Bog’ is what we call 262 Ritchie Road. [-it dates from when we had horses on the farm]
I checked out the antique grader. It’s quite a trip from my place because of the new flooded areas but can be done by following a rather twisted route. I still need permision from a land owner but l hope to get the okay as soon as contact is made. I will get back to you and see if you are still interested. Perhaps you would not mind if a friend came along with his camera so that he and I might learn some visualization skills from the master?
The round trip would take about 2 hrs. Jim Irish

Hi there Jim !! I thought that " The Bog " must have been you but I wasn’t sure. Of course I don’t mind if someone else comes along and the two hour walk sounds great. By the way I’ve been called lots of things but never the Master. I’d have a hard time living up to that one. I’ll make you a print of "Mirror Image " though. Looking forward to hearing from you on the trip…. Ray Fortner

Just returned to Kenora. Took my wife south (Rainy River) to avoid the onset of another Kenora winter and watch a grandson play hockey in International Falls and Baudette. Talk to you very soon and we will set up a time and day. Jim
  • O. K. thx Jim, looking forward to hearing from you.Ray
