I paint with wax – yes beeswax to which colored pigments are added.
I use an iron (like a small travel iron), a stylus (abit like a soldering iron), a hotplate and a hot air gun to melt the wax and apply it to the painting surface. NONE OF MY PAINTINGS ARE DIGITALLY ENHANCED OR ALTERED IN ANY WAY. The wax is extremely colourfast and will not fade over time.
I melt wax then apply to to the painting card to create fantasty landscapes and just nice places to be really. I tend to let the wax lead me to the final destination rather than have preconceived ideas of what I am producing. I am often surprised by the outcome myself!
I am very drawn to fantasy landscapes and images, particularly castles (as you will see!), and I love the use of strong, vibrant colours.
I have been selling my work since 2004 to many countries throughout the world including UK, USA, Australia and Canada.
